About
Substance use disorders, eating disorders, & other destructive behaviors are often used as a way to cope with emotional distress and/or avoid pain. I help individuals heal by being curious & compassionate about the destructive behaviors to discover what purpose they serve. This often looks like assessing biological & social factors, healing unresolved trauma, grief, attachment issues, and learning new coping skills. I utilize a collaborative & holistic approach to treatment. Together, we can heal the pain, and find new ways to cope with emotional distress.
My education & experience is diverse including working with individuals & families affected by a range of mental health issues. I specialize in addictive disorders, which also includes helping individuals navigate body image issues, self-esteem, life transitions, grief/loss, familly & interpersonal relationships.
I would be honored to assist you in your healing journey. Additionally, I would be happy to answer any questions you may have through a free consultation. You can schedule an appointment with me directly through email or phone. You can also request an appointment through my website: dianamonsour.clientsecure.me/
