About

I have over thirty years experience working with children, adolescents and young adults with childhood trauma and developmental/ behavioral disabilities. I have a personalized approach with every client. In a compassionate and playful atmosphere, I assist clients to become aware of patterns and blocked emotions to guide them to new possibilities so they can now make positive life choices. I address a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, chronic illness and trauma. Embarking on change is a courageous journey! Let’s work together to tap into your best potential self!
I am a pioneer in the use of creative arts /drama therapy as an adjunct to talk therapy. My method is evidenced based and published in text books.
These are unprecedented times and we all cope in different ways. You are not alone! If you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, you deserve to reach out and get the help you need. I also specialize in group counseling which creates a supportive community and shared experiences.

Diana Jeanne Feldman's Groups

Drama therapy for adolescents.

Drama therapy is an active experiential approach that uses theater techniques to promote mental health. Our group work uses issue oriented improvisational theater such as story, theater games, role play and performance in a fun and creative atmosphere. Focusing on group concerns, we create new possibilities for growth and change. Unconscious material and issues may surface in a safe, new supportive peer group.

Drama therapy for children

Drama and play are a crucial part of healthy human development. It is sometimes difficult for young people who are faced with difficulties to express their feelings in a verbal way but drama therapy offers an active experiential approach which provides a context for participants to tell their stories, express feelings and problem solve. In a 60-90 minute session we use the creative medium of drama, play, story, art, music and movement to work through issues in a fun supportive atmosphere.
