My name is Diana Ashton and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Diego, CA. I work with adolescents and adults with a variety of presenting issues using psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and short-term solution-focused therapeutic techniques to help my clients find the answers that they are looking for. I grew up in a family with some trauma and I believe that I emerged wanting to not only heal myself but to help others heal as well. I have always had the ability to see a person as a whole picture and am not afraid to reach out and offer help.
I have found that my direct style and approach are a good fit for both adolescents and adults of all ages who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions as well as social pressures. These challenges often take the form of anxiety, depression, and stress-related behaviors.
My communication style is supportive, empathic, and direct. I know how tough it is to make the decision to ask for help and my goal is to help each client as quickly as possible. I share my thoughts and experience and work to provide as much education and support as possible
