Hello, my name is Diamond McMillian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in San Francisco, California, and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress, and Trauma, using a holistic, integrated, evidence-based approach to current life challenges. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens, young adults, and aging adults who may be dealing with the challenges of trauma, social pressures, and life transitions. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship issues.
I offer a therapeutic environment that is non-biased, compassionate, and accepting of who you are. My communication style is approachable, friendly, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. I do not see myself as the expert, but rather as an ally to listens and offers suggestions when desired.
My approach to goal setting with clients is all about working together to define what you want to accomplish in our time together. This often starts by building trust between us, followed by helping you identify problem areas and patterns that are causing you distress and ensuring it’s a journey where you feel safe, heard, and validated.
