Individually I use components of CBT and DBT within my therapeutic style.
Have you been struggling to connect within your current relationships? Have you experienced significant anxiety and depression within social and work environments? Do you feel like your emotions overwhelm you? Sometimes building and maintaining relationships is challenging. When struggling to find connection we can begin to doubt our own self, which can lead to anxiety, depression, and a negative view of ourself. My name is Samantha Hunt, and I want to help you rediscover yourself and build healthy connections.

I combine traditional therapeutic models like CBT, DBT, and IFS with holistic, mindfulness based and collaborative approaches.
Hi there! I’m Susana. My passion for mental health work comes from my own experiences trying to reclaim my identity while navigating life’s obstacles. Our life experiences, culture, background, and relationship with ourselves and our mental health are incredibly unique and personal. This is why I enjoy getting to know my clients and finding an approach that works best for their needs rather than sticking to a “one size fits all” approach.

Don't settle for a generic drug and alcohol therapist. You deserve help that actually helps you feel happy again. (And, that's in-network with your insurance).

I use a combination of evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused or mindfulness techniques.
I am a Clinical Social Worker who has provided counseling to individuals since 2011. My practice approach is to start where you are in your life. I will compassionately listen, help you gain insight and develop tools to cope with life's challenges. I love working with clients who are going through life transitions such as leaving home, going to college, accepting a new job, getting married or having a new baby. Life transitions are normal, but sometimes living life can become so overwhelming you need someone to talk to about it. My goal is to help you cope with these changes and to move forward.

My approach is rooted in a holistic and strength-based perspective, integrating modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT).
My goal: To meet you wherever you currently find yourself. Regardless of how that looks at this moment, it's important to recognize that there's nothing inherently 'wrong' or 'broken' about you. If guilt, shame, and maladaptive behavior overwhelms and persist, it signals a need for change. Whether you're navigating PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, substance use, or life transitions, my aim is to guide you in understanding, managing, addressing root causes, and initiating a healing process.

My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Narrative Therapy.
Growing up in the era of social media is quite exhilarating. Memes, photos, and funny videos are just a few clicks away, but they also fuel unrealistic beauty standards and a comparison mindset. If you're here, you may feel unworthy, anxious, or defeated due to not feeling "good enough" to replicate what you see online. If this is you, I want you to know that the only healthy competition in life is between you against you. My name is Toni, and I'm therapist who loves working with people who feel overwhelmed by all the societal and intrapersonal pressures placed on our lives.

I use evidence based insight oriented therapies including EMDR, CBT, Mindfulness and DBT informed therapies.
Each one of us has the capacity to change our own path with the help of transformative therapy. Anxiety, depression, frustration, loneliness and feelings of helplessness can impact our daily lives- yet we have the ability to change our perspective. Hope, joy and purpose can be found by processing our feelings to move forward in a positive direction. Helping people heal, begin to affirm who they are, and process their thoughts and feelings to fully embrace their future is the focus of my practice.

I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is a hyper processing trauma modality and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to increase each person's ability to cope and manage with stressors.
Finding a therapist that works best with your needs is the most important part of this process. I also understand that each person has unique needs so I am flexible with the techniques I use with each client. My goal is to assist you in feeling more authentic and better able to cope and manage with the changes and emotions you may have.

I use techniques ranging from cognitive behavioral approaches to dialectical, to EMDR when appropriate.
I believe the most important part of therapy is a relationship that is non-judgmental, open, and warm. I want our time together to be collaborative. I want to understand what has worked for you in the past and what you’d like to focus on in your future. I grew up in Louisiana and started my training in New Orleans, where I worked with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists

Who is DBT for?

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?

The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?

Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?

Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
