Diabetes-Focused Psychotherapy takes a holistic approach, combining traditional talk therapy with diabetes education and diabetes management support. It addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of living life with diabetes while still addressing other non-diabetes related life problems. To help people with diabetes live a healthier and happier life.
Blood sugar takes a silent toll on cognition, memory retention, and recall. It can raise stress levels, cause undue frustration and spur additional maladies like depression.Diabetes-Focused Psychotherapy will help you manage life with diabetes and the many issues diabetes brings.
I was diagnosed with Type I diabetes in 1977 and founded Diabetes-Focused Psychotherapy to help others living with diabetes. Aside from my LCSW, I became one of the few Certified Diabetes Educator who provides psychotherapy and education.
