I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping people understand and transcend beyond the effects of trauma. I specialize in helping clients make connections between the problems they are struggling with now and their earlier life experiences to process through and minimize their trauma responses. I work with individuals, couples, and families to process traumatic experiences and understand the impact trauma has on all areas of life, such as relationships, parenting, family dynamics, self-worth, emotion regulation, trust, mental health, physical health, body responses, growth, coping, and social skills.
With a strong person-centered approach and a framework incorporating psychodynamics, attachment theory, and neurobiology, I use many different modalities to customize treatment for my clients and families that best meet their specific needs. I am trained in EMDR and Sand Tray Therapy, using somatic-based interventions to help my clients process trauma.

Groups
Breaking the Cycle Parenting Group
Breaking the Cycle is a 8-session group to help parents strengthen skills to recognize the social, emotional, and psychological needs of their children while teaching them healthy ways to meet those needs. Parents will learn how their own childhood experiences have affected them as adults and as parents. They will learn how to recognize the needs of their children and ways to support their children in developing a healthy sense of self that will prepare them for the many obstacles in life. Sessions will be held in-person at Dawn Institute and there are 12 seats available. Next start date is 08/20/24.
