About
Sex and relationships can be hard to talk about --- But you don't have to do it alone! I am Devon Abdo (her/she), LMFT, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in Sexuality and Sex Therapy. I work with both couples and individuals who are interested in exploring their relationships and sexuality or need help dealing with this crazy world. I believe in tailoring each session to the needs of each client where they are, of any gender orientation, gender expression, race, or relationship style. I am trans-affirming, fetish-affirming, and poly-affirming.
My therapeutic approach combines multiple empirically supported theories including Emotionally-Focused, Narrative, Mindfulness, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, but always leaves room for humor. I believe in finding the uncomfortable zone, where we can stretch our understanding of our self and make new patterns, without causing stress or going too far.
If you think we might be a good match for therapy, please reach out. I provide a free 15-min consulation to get to know each other. Right now I am working solely from my virtual office. While not working I love to crochet, spend time with my cats, and read comic books.
