This group is for any teen seeking assistance in working through life's hurts, habits, or hang-ups.
Nurturing Parenting: Nurturing Skills for Families
This is a family-centered trauma-informed group designed to build nurturing parenting skills and child-rearing practices. This evidence-based Nurturing philosophy helps families from all over the world and in all branches of the military improve their parenting skills. This innovative model is designed to provide flexibility to meet the needs of families with children ranging in age from Prenatal to 19 years old. This instructional group is 90 minutes.
Nurturing Skills for Teen Parents
Core lessons are identified that represent the basic skills of teen parenting. Each session is designed to last 90 minutes. Group offers opportunities to educate teens on issues critical to adolescence including pregnancy prevention, date rape, peer pressure, dating, violent relationships and other health related skills. Children are encouraged to be a part of the group to enhance positive teen parent-child attachment. The adolescents attending Nurturing Skills for Teen Parents receive a parent handbook, and engage in role play, discussions, and creative expression through art. Group meets via Telehealth.
