I began working in the area of mental health over 25 years ago, the last 18 years have primarily as a child and family therapist. I have worked with children in a variety of environments from in the home to schools and foster care. Working with children led me to expand my practice to include working with parents and families. Currently I work with a mix of adults, families and children. In addition to treating a range of challenges from anxiety to trauma, the life issues people face are also a key part of my practice, such as divorce, death of a loved one, a move to a new home or country and bullying.
I will spend the time needed to build a good relationship with you, to ensure an individual approach to the problem. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques from EMDR to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My practice includes evidence based treatment and outcome based measures. I have a reputation for being creative, empathetic and person centered.
I am an avid learner and continue to train. Currently I hold additional certifications in treating trauma and ADHD. I am a team player and work with other professionals when needed to meet your goals.
