Welcome, Devida Crawford here! I am dual licensed in Ohio as an LISW and in California as an LCSW. My approach to therapy has always been a very humanistic approach when working with individuals. I am very passionate about working with youth, teens, and young adults. I want to create a space where my clients feel heard, seen, and validated.
I work from a humanistic approach, while also drawing from CBT, TF-CBT, Humanistic Therapy, Acceptance and commitment therapy, Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I have been in this feel of work for over 20+ years, starting out on the ground doing community work. I have taught single moms with infants and toddlers, mentored at Boys and Girls Club, worked in nursing facilities, psychiatric hospitals, recreation centers, hospitals, ER and I have been in leadership as well.
