"I've been in private practice for 24 years as a psychodynamic psychotherapist and a psychoanalyst. My method aims at deep changes in the personality so that your troubling symptoms are relieved in a more permanent way. Often, you don't know why your life feels so unsatisfying, why relationships feel troubled or why you cannot seem to choose what will make you happy.Or there may be just a particular area of difficulty in a life that seems to be going rather well."

"By better understanding who you are and where you want to go, you can live a happier more fulfilling life. My approach is supportive and empathic but, above all, practical. While I believe an understanding of the past is essential, positive change occurs in the present. *Insurance Note: While I am not on any In-Network insurance plans I am usually covered by insurance Plans as an out-of-network provider as a I hold LCSW-"R" which allows for re-imbursement out of network."

I love what I do and I think it shows. My main goal is to help clients address personal challenges, understand how early life events effect them, and how to take steps towards change."

"Are you troubled by painful past experiences or difficult current relationships? Do you identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, or do you feel stuck, confused, or marginalized by the society we live in? I work specifically with individuals who are seeking a deeper connection to themselves and their own source of inner power and creativity, because this is the most potent response to the worry, sadness, or lack of enthusiasm that individuals often experience in modern society. If you feel like the individuals in your life or your normal ways of coping aren't working, speaking to a highly trained professional can help. "

"The strains of living can feel overwhelming at times, and the pleasures of life and relationships difficult to access and sustain. We can find ourselves stuck in recurring patterns and fears that do not serve us well, feeling helpless in carving new pathways for emotional waters to flow. Finding the time and a place to attend to our inner longings is a step in acknowledging the need for a partner in this search. We become who we are through relationships, and learn more satisfying ways through new relationships. "

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD New York), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in New York; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in New York.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in New York or New York developmental issues.
