"You are here, reading this, for a reason. That reason being anxiety, relationship issues, existential questions/crisis, depression, drug use, or whatever else that resulted in you looking up someone who could help. I get it; dealing with your own world is one thing, finding the right help is another. I can sit here and type some fancy industry terms about how great and educated I am like a salesperson. But I rather tell you, if it’s any consolation, that you are not alone. "

"Therapy can be a transformative experience of acknowledging Self and finding a higher level of functioning. The relationship between therapist and client facilitates gentle and foundational changes aiming to discard dysfunctional coping skills and to acquire healthier tools for living. I intend to create an accepting and nonjudgmental space and connect with my clients through compassion, empathy and unconditional positive regard. I understand and cherish the intimacy and honor that is my role in my clients' lives."

"A person most often seeks therapy when a part of his/her life feels unmanageable. Often past skills used to cope are no longer effective and one may feel vulnerable and alone even in the presence of others. Sometimes these feelings occur after a recent transition in a relationship, career choice, or a recent move. At other times, someone may experience diffuse feelings of anxiety and sadness without a specific stressor."

"People refer to therapy as a science or practice-but I have come to view it as an art in the most exquisite form. Therapy is about expressing and emoting, and finding value in the internal and external relationships we create. My education and clinical experience has verified the depth of this "art," revealing knowledge that can be gained, healing of old scars, and magic that can ensue when self-love occurs. I am a firm believer that therapy is not a requirement for healthy living, but similar to music and film, it can add intrigue, deepen relationships, and significantly enhance the quality of life."

"Are you looking for insight into difficult thoughts or feelings that keep you from enjoying relationships, family, and career? When traumatic events or unexpressed feelings are left unattended we can become identified with these states and symptoms like depression, social anxiety, substance abuse and self sabotage can arise. It can be difficult to make changes and overcome obstacles without support, new tools, and new insight."

"Something in your life has become enough of a problem that you are seeking help. When things don't turn out the way you imagined, or you find yourself repeating the same patterns that keep you working against yourself, it is only natural to feel anxious, depressed, and/or overwhelmed. You might feel blindsided by a big life transition, paralyzed by shame or fear, or as if you are constantly fighting an uphill battle. Whatever the issue, you are capable of making change, and I am here to help."

"So much of life is about relationships, beginning with the relationship with oneself, which is the foundation upon which people thrive. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the crux of self-discovery and personal growth, and through this connection, individuals begin to develop a greater understanding of themselves, their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, motivations and desires. This translates into a more empowered sense of self, improved relations with others, and ultimately a better quality of life."

"Many of us walk around every day wearing some version of a mask. Some of us do so to protect or take care of others, some of us wear the mask to fit in, and some of us wear it because of shame. My hope is that everyone I work with becomes a little bit more comfortable with the person underneath the mask-- their true authentic self. Whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, the effects of trauma, addiction, or difficulty in relationships with others, I truly believe the therapeutic relationship can be a healing one, and be the first step in taking off your mask."

"I believe that relationships, with others and with oneself, are essential to living an enjoyable life. Healthy relationships and self-knowledge can be the remedy to our distress and the key to our healing. My approach is collaborative- I do not expect you to enter my office and "fix" yourself, but rather to work alongside me to cultivate insight, deepen relationships, and develop a stronger sense of self. Often we walk through life being merely existing-my goal is to help you thrive by living a well-balanced and joyful life."

" It is in our nature to search for fulfillment, meaning and purpose in our lives. We typically feed these needs through our relationships with people and through the activities we engage in our every day lives. When some known and unknown needs go unmet, or we feel deeply unhappy, uncomfortable or simply not content, seeking support and guidance in lifting yourself out of that through therapy, can be a holistic and healthy approach. It takes bravery to reach outside of yourself for something new and unknown to help you feel positive change in your life and it is ultimately an investment you are making in yourself and your future. "I believe that psychotherapy can be a way to gain a better understanding of oneself and provide an individual with insight into their own life. Having awareness surrounding one's thoughts and feelings can lead to a more fulfilling and mindful existence. I believe that the therapeutic relationship formed with my clients can be in and of itself a healing experience and really a branching off point towards the road of self-discovery. The therapy room is truly a safe space to explore who you are and who you want to become."

"As a contemporary psychoanalyst who specializes in attachments, and how they evolve throughout the lifespan, my focus is on three themes, your emotional life, your relational life, and the skills you will need to make the first two work. How do I do this? Through empathy, imagination, compassion, and collaboration, and humor. I may be an expert on the process of therapy, but you are the authority on your self, as well as your thoughts and feelings on those you love or hope to love. There is one more thing: as a poet, I believe in everyone developing personal passion"

"Stress and anxiety can drain emotional and physical energy, making even the smallest life obstacles seem impossible to overcome. When we are anxious or stressed, we have trouble sleeping, feel exhausted from worrying, and have difficulty concentrating and making decisions. Anxiety and stress can also make people socially avoidant, risk aversive, or hypervigilant, as if something catastrophic is just about to happen. If you are often worried, tense, or keyed up, or have frequent panic attacks, know that anxiety can be treated successfully."

"I help grieving people feel better. This is one of the most painful transitions life hands us. Grief can make you feel like you don't "fit" anymore. Like life is moving on around you and you're standing still, or maybe you find yourself moving so quickly you don't know where you are. Counseling can help you find your grounding again. I'll help you find ways to honor your past and carry it forward into the future. I work with people of all ages. We'll use traditional talk-therapy and may also use experiential activities such as art, mindfulness, and sandtray. If you can't make it to my office we can meet via live video sessions."

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 90014), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 90014; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 90014.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 90014 or 90014 developmental issues. Try an 90014 child therapist, 90014 facility or 90014 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 90014, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 90014, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 90014, teenagers development problems in 90014, 90014 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 90014 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 90014 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 90014 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 90014 or family therapy in 90014.
