I specialize in working with clients who have experienced developmental trauma and neglect. My goal: Support each person in becoming more of who they really are. My clients' needs have always guided my trainings. For this reason, I have changed the primary focus of my practice to Neurofeedback. I would like more people to benefit from Neurofeedback as an adjunctive therapy. Clients training in Neurofeedback learn to use their brains' capacity to change so that they can be more aware and function with more stability and flexibility while facing the challenges that life brings.

I am a Child Psychologist, not a "psychologist who works with children". My training, internship, fellowships, and my entire career has been focused on children, adolescents, and their families. My patients know that I respect them, their ideas, and their feelings, no matter how young they are, no matter how disaffected. I especially like working with children with ADHD and those on the Autism Spectrum. I focus on helping them see the strengths in their nonstandard ways of being in the world, on how to cope with the expectations of the "normal" world, and how to succeed.

"Everyone has a destiny, however, various experiences, perceptions and life events often send us in another direction. Many people become stuck or have difficulty throwing off old thoughts and behaviors. The Psyche brings various symptoms, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders to move us forward. Working through these symptoms leads to a positive outlook on of life. My goal is to help individuals work through the symptoms and build on the strengths and potential within a person. Discovering these gifts can help alleviate negative symptoms and enable you to move into the future with a new awareness and zest for life.

My hope is for therapy to be a beneficial and positive experience. I find the most joy working with children, teens, women and families. Some of the areas I have experience working with and training in are: adjustment issues, attachment concerns, family conflict, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, self esteem, behavior concerns, trauma, abuse/neglect, and relationship struggles. I am an integrative, family-systems, person-centered therapist who often views problems through a holistic lense. This means I may take from different therapeutic modalities, based on needs, to help others work toward creating balance within themselves and their world.

*Now accepting new clients on weekdays* Greetings! My name is Auden O’Connell and I’m a therapist and board certified and registered art therapist. I use a blend of art and traditional talk therapy-sometimes this means a session is all art based, or depending on what the client needs-we might just talk! Collaboration, play, humor, and creativity are all central to my therapeutic process with my clients. I am enthusiastic about creatively collaborating with my clients. My practice is guided through a feminist and body neutral lens. I believe that the client is the expert and I am a guide to assist in the client's journey.

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 55432), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 55432; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 55432.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 55432 or 55432 developmental issues. Try a 55432 child therapist, 55432 facility or 55432 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 55432, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 55432, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 55432, teenagers development problems in 55432, 55432 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 55432 are able to work with a wide range of issues. They offer in person sessions as well as Teletherapy in 55432

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 55432 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 55432 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 55432 or family therapy in 55432.
