"Making changes — either as part of a recovery program or in the course of major life transitions — requires courage, patience, adaptability and tolerance of periods of uncertainty. I work with individuals and families who have discovered that self-reliance is not enough to sustain change towards a goal. Developing insight, having connection in the community and inviting others into the change process can ease the path forward."

""I need help." As human beings, we all will say this phrase at some point in our lives. Acknowledging a need for help can be uncomfortable, painful or scary. Perhaps you've discovered that something is keeping you from being your best self. Or maybe your relationships, career, or family life is leaving you feeling depleted. Fortunately these struggles do not have to define who you are; change is possible and it can be a beautiful thing. Recognizing and building upon the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity and challenges has become a refined skill and passion of mine."

"I believe we all have the courage and determination to meet even tough life problems. My goal is to assist with meeting these problems through gaining insight into the problems and the factors that perpetuate them. I focus on developing a useful way of understanding vulnerabilities, and on observing and gaining a greater sense of unique attributes. I also focus on developing behavioral steps to foster understanding and a greater sense of strength. This process can be hard, but it can also be hopeful, creative and rewarding."

"No matter how fortunate you may be, still human life is difficult. Despite your best efforts, at times life's stresses can be too much: you may be overwhelmed. Hurt, fear, guilt, anger, shame, grief: feeling bad can alert you to where the trouble lies, or add to your emotional burdens. Confusion, isolation, loneliness, restlessness, worry, despair, or addictive attempts to find relief - all of these painful states are attempts to ward off problems or fix what's wrong, but they can also make things worse."

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 10271), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 10271; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 10271.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 10271 or 10271 developmental issues. Try a 10271 child therapist, 10271 facility or 10271 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 10271, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 10271, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 10271, teenagers development problems in 10271, 10271 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 10271 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 10271 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 10271 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 10271 or family therapy in 10271.
