"My mission is to empower the people I work with - and although we can't stop the stressful, demanding and negative events in our lives - we all possess the power to tackle those stresses with confidence. Many people spend time dwelling in their past or lost in anxiety about what is coming in their future; this can lead us down a road of sadness, anxiety and daily stress that deteriorates one’s well being. If you are overwhelmed with finding a healthy work life balance, difficulty with your relationships or feeling as if the weight of world lays on your shoulders; know that you are capable of your own change. The issues: family crises; trauma; learning disabilities, attention deficit disorder, asperger’s syndrome; mood instability and the paralyzing effects of anxiety/panic. It takes grit, patience; the right educational space and faith in growth. "My approach to counseling stems from the belief that people will flourish if given the right tools. They're often struggling because they lack a set of skills that come more naturally to others. I help clients take an overwhelming, undefinable 'problem', and break it down into its component parts so that there's a clear understanding of the factors at play, and skills that need to be acquired. Whether it be anxiety, depression, anger management, interpersonal relationship or behavioral challenges, this approach arms my clients with resources they can leverage long after therapy has concluded."

" If you are dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, depressive thoughts, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts or compulsive behavior, it is likely you're feeling "maxed out" and worried about how you can deal with the stress, let alone whether your work and personal relationships can survive as well. These issues can create great suffering and a sense of isolation. I developed my private practice with the knowledge of how helpful quality therapy can be. I chose to become a licensed psychologist after working in other industries and educational systems; those experiences ignited my determination to professionally help others."

"If you are suffering from a lack of confidence in yourself, your perceptions, your feelings, your dreams for yourself, I can help! "I feel that therapy is most effective when the patient and therapist work both in the present and the past. Often the patient seeks therapy in order to relieve a symptom (i.e. depression, anxiety) or to resolve a relationship issue and they want relief quickly. I understand this need to feel better as quickly as possible but also feel that it is important to address early interpersonal issues that are having an impact on current relationships. In working along these parallel paths patients often feel relief of symptoms and gain a better understanding of lifelong dysfunctional patterns."

"I have a particular interest in helping people with personality and relationship problems. In therapy I try to create an environment where patients will feel safe sharing and exploring all their thoughts and feelings about themselves, so that we can trace how these affect their daily experiences. To do this we may also examine the person's moment to moment experience in therapy. Understanding the interactions between internal assumptions on the one hand, and feelings and behavior, on the other, leads to a more stable sense of self and the possibility of different choices."

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 10168), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 10168; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 10168.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 10168 or 10168 developmental issues. Try a 10168 child therapist, 10168 facility or 10168 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 10168, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 10168, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 10168, teenagers development problems in 10168, 10168 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 10168 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 10168 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 10168 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 10168 or family therapy in 10168.
