"My focus is on helping others change painful patterns. I am a psychotherapist and clinical psychologist who values a close, focused type of listening. This is connected to an emphasis on the unique cultural, environmental, and psychological factors that contribute to current distress. I am currently accepting new patients, with evening and weekend hours available. Specialty areas include chronic pain conditions, addictions, and transition to college. If for whatever reason, during the initial free phone consult we discover that I am not a good match, I will work with you to find someone who is able to meet your needs."

"I have been practicing supportive, insight oriented psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for 15 years. My education at IPTAR and my practical experience have led to my clinical approach which is grounded in the belief that therapy is a partnership. I work to build a trusting relationship that will enable the patient to experience aspects of one's inner life that are hidden away from conscious awareness. With guidance one becomes aware of the underlying sources of his or her difficulties. Inner awareness provides more relief from life's struggles than one can ever receive from homework assignments or advice from friends."

Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 10128), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 10128; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 10128.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 10128 or 10128 developmental issues. Try a 10128 child therapist, 10128 facility or 10128 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 10128, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 10128, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 10128, teenagers development problems in 10128, 10128 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 10128 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 10128 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 10128 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 10128 or family therapy in 10128.
