"During challenging times we all need a little extra support and guidance to help us feel that we can handle whatever comes our way. Maybe something particularly difficult happened; the loss of a loved one, a job change, a divorce, or a medical issue, and it’s affecting your daily life and overall ability to function. You are not alone. Finding the right clinician to support you is an important part of dealing with life’s challenges and not every person responds to the same approach. If you haven’t made progress through traditional talk therapy, engaging in a creative approach through art therapy may be the right fit for you."

If you are experiencing feelings of sadness for no apparent reason; sudden changes in your personal relationships; excessive anxiety or fear; noticed a change in your child's academic performance or an unexplained and sudden shift in his/her mood or behavior or feeling physical complaints when no medical reasons can be found, these issues can produce undue stress resulting in a feeling of anxiety and depression. "Would you like to have someone to talk to, who hears you without judgement or conditions? Whatever your concern: poor relationship choices, a mental health condition, trouble with the kids, parents or partner, suicidal thoughts or something else, I will listen. Together we will seek and find viable alternative behaviors/responses to those that may not be working well for you now. If indicated, I will make appropriate medical referrals. I work in a warm, non-traditional environment, with flexible hours. I do not accept any insurance. Instead, I have a reasonable sliding scale."

"I believe in emotional health. Having emotions is as natural as your appetite, and that having emotional difficulties is as human as experiencing hunger; Processing our emotions in therapy is as necessary as any other visit to a doctor: either for a check-up, when there are initial symptoms, or once the problem has already manifested and is making our life somehow dysfunctional. I avoid labels or focusing on pathology; instead, I concentrate on helping my clients to overcome the doubts, difficulties or challenges that get in the way of a calm, stable and fulfilling life."

'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 10120), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 10120; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 10120.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 10120 or 10120 developmental issues. Try a 10120 child therapist, 10120 facility or 10120 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 10120, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 10120, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 10120, teenagers development problems in 10120, 10120 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 10120 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 10120 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 10120 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 10120 or family therapy in 10120.
