"Clients usually seek therapy when they feel "stuck" and unable to move beyond the challenges they are facing. I am passionate about helping people tackle life's challenges and working with people on various skills and tools, to help them feel more empowered and more in control. I work with my clients to help them identify and eventually combat harmful beliefs that may be holding them back from achieving their goals and living the life they desire. I believe in teaching my clients helpful and effective techniques that they can use in the world outside the therapy room."

I help my clients identify troubling thoughts, emotions, and behavioral patterns with the goal of shifting to healthier and more adaptive perspective and decision making. I work with an eclectic, integrative approach and base my practice techniques on the unique needs of the individual, as psychotherapy is not based upon a "one size fits all" approach. I pay close attention to the relationships within a client's life, and incorporate techniques from both cognitive-behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy. I provide tools on how to effectively alter maladaptive thoughts and behaviors, while also taking into consideration the individual's history and past experiences. "

"Whether you're new to therapy or seeking change, welcome! People enter therapy for a vast array of reasons, from concrete symptoms and upsetting patterns to depression and anxiety, unstable self-worth/-value at work and beyond, difficulties with relationships and intimacy, compulsive eating and other behaviors, effects of illness, and simply a sense that there could be more to life. Fully working through these struggles can be nearly impossible from within one's own mind. However, in collaboration with professional, compassionate guidance, slowing and halting painful cycles, rediscovering joy, and even flourishing is very possible."

For too many decades, we have hidden in shame and guilt about a disease that is common and impacts all of us whether it be ourselves, our family members or our dear friends. It is epidemic. It is not going away. The good news is that we have come to a time where help, education, understanding and compassion is available to anyone who wants it. I am here to listen. Developmental Disorders Therapists
'Developmental disorder' is the collective term used to describe the disorders, first diagnosed in a child's infancy or early childhood, which then become more apparent as the kids develop during their childhood and into their teens and adolescence. Like all labels, it means little and is open to interpretation.

The developmental disorders are categorized in to two areas: specific developmental disorders, which affect discrete parts of a kid's development, and the pervasive disorders (e.g. PDD 10020), which affect multiple developmental basics. The specific developmental disorders include communication disorders, speech and language issues, such as stuttering or lisps in 10020; learning disorders; and motor function or motor skills disorders, which may include tics or Tourette's in 10020.

The pervasive developmental disorders (PDDs) include autism, asperger's, attention-deficit and disruptive behavior disorders.

There are other issues that can affect childhood development, which are included in the developmental disorders--such as feeding and eating disorders, elimination disorders, separation anxiety disorder, and reactive attachment disorder.

Look here for help with children, kids or teens with developmental disorders in 10020 or 10020 developmental issues. Try a 10020 child therapist, 10020 facility or 10020 treatment program. These therapists provide help with kids' developmental issues in 10020, child development, teen development and adolescent development. They include developmental therapists in 10020, developmental psychologists, developmental counseling and treatment for developmental disorders. They'll also help with problem teens development in 10020, teenagers development problems in 10020, 10020 teenage development and teenager developmental issues.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in 10020 are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counselor in 10020 you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counseling or couples counseling in 10020 and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counseling in 10020 or family therapy in 10020.
