Hi! My name is Destinee! I’m a therapist who comes from an art background. In my experience, therapy is much like how an artist approaches their work. Therapy is a process; it requires observation and reflection, and making small adjustments to create something that we are proud of, in this case it ourselves. I enjoy working with other creatives such as other artists, writers, actors, etc. I have worked with a variety of identities including different cultural and racial backgrounds, religious and non-religious backgrounds, and clients across the spectrum of sexual orientation and gender expression.
As a therapist, my main objective is to facilitate a sense of curiosity and creativity within my clients. As we grow, we learn how to interact in the world and as we evolve sometimes we outgrow these ways of being. I use parts work, psychodynamic and relational therapies to create a compassionate space for us to be curious about the things we struggle with.
