My name is Dr. Desiree Wilkinson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and founder of Anchor Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in providing outpatient therapy for individuals struggling with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and am committed to using evidence-based therapies that have been shown to effectively provide relief. My approach to therapy is active, goal-oriented, and collaborative, and I value creativity, warmth, and humor during the therapeutic process.
I have a joint doctorate degree in the areas of Clinical Psychology and Developmental Psychology and have undergone extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), including training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioral activation, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and mindfulness.
I know that the process of finding a therapist who is the right fit can be challenging. To help with the process, I would be happy to schedule a time to speak with you to share more about my treatment approach and to answer any questions that you have. I am accepting new telehealth clients and have availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
