Desert Mountain Counseling LLC is a small group practice of trauma-informed therapists who provide effective evidenced based cognitive behavioral therapy to resolve or manage their symptoms related to anxiety, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, disordered eating, body image distress, ADHD, grief/loss, substance abuse, immigration, and relationship issues. We are validating and affirming and, as social workers, we are social justice oriented. We provide telehealth therapy for clients in AZ and have an office in Tucson.

We are a small group practice under the clinical supervision of Suzanne Perkins, LCSW. Suzanne worked for over 23 years at the VA before starting private practice. We are trained in evidenced based therapy including Exposure Response Prevention, EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT for Insomnia, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
It takes courage to reach out for help and overcome the stigma or invalidation from others to finally prioritize your needs and engage in therapy. Therapy is often a last resort as people struggle to imagine where to start or how they will ever trust a stranger. We look forward to working with you
