I create and hold a healing and restorative space for my clients. I do this through unconditional positive regard – with a supportive and accepting attitude of the feelings and experiences shared by my clients. I work with individuals who are in need of guidance through life's challenges. I specialize in working with those who are in need of assistance with activation/hypo-arousal in the nervous system brought on through Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and other traumatic stress experiences. I have completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work.
I have vast experience in the field of mental health including being a trauma and somatic informed therapist. I have treated a variety of diagnoses in a multitude of settings. Additionally, I have been trained in EMDR therapy and I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
I take a creative therapeutic approach in my practice-using a fusion of skills gained from training in: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
