Hi, I'm Derik Moore, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP (Certified Clinical Services Provider). At Brendanmoor Therapy LLC, I take a relational, client-centered, trauma-informed approach to individual, family, and couples therapy, while remaining eclectic and drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Attachment Theory. I am an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider and am passionate about properly diagnosing ADHD, dispelling myths, challenging stigmas, and coaching those who are newly-diagnosed through treatment options, as well as providing useful tools for improving day-to-day functioning.

My therapeutic style is casual, conversational and built on authenticity. It’s crucial to me that clinical jargon doesn’t get in the way of building trust and mutual understanding. At the same time, I want you to feel confident that my skills have been honed over decades of formal education, experience, ongoing training, and research.

My devotion to building safe and secure therapeutic relationships continues to grow after 30+ years of activism, soc. work & psychotherapy. I have been a musician for 40 yrs &, as a clinician, I value the roles art, music, and humor can play in encouraging expressive, healing, and connective experiences.
