Deren Mikels, LCSW Empowering People to Achieve Their Potential - I have been providing therapy for over 24 years. I believe in providing supportive counseling in a non-judgmental environment in which my clients can reach their full potential. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and solution focused. I tailor treatment to each client's unique needs using evidenced-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based therapy, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and family systems techniques. I take into consideration consider client's wellness and cultural and spiritual beliefs, and sexual identity.
I have strong background in Family Court and enjoy working with families. I specialize in Family Reunification Therapy, Co-Parenting, and Child Custody Evaluations. 3111/730. I am able to help others live a productive fulfilling life. My practice includes working with Domestic Violence, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Depression, ADHD, Anxiety, Marriage Counseling.
I also enjoy working with student athletes, collegiate athletes, and professional athletes to improve confidence, manage performance anxiety, recover from injuries, and strengthen mental resilience.

Co-Parenting Classes
I do Co-Parenting Classes with the two parents. I try to help people parent in a similar manner to make it less confusing for the child or children. The goal of the class is to resolve family court matters in a positive and quick manner to benefit all parties involved.
