Hi! I'm Dereka. I enjoy working with individuals, families and couples of all ages focusing on a wide array of areas such as depression, anxiety, grief, perinatal, trauma, family conflict, relationships, stress management, work stressors, financial concerns, social anxiety, self-esteem and navigating medical diagnosis. I enjoy helping my clients find their inner voice, create healthy boundaries, overcome debilitating fears and build confidence and communication skills. I want to help you goal plan to elicit positive changes and focus on interpersonal work.
I have over 8 years of experience with individuals, families and couples. I've worked in various settings including child welfare, hospital and school settings. I have training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and DBT for the treatment of anxiety and depression in children, adolescents, and family systems.
My hope is that you will feel comfortable to be open and honest throughout the process of therapy. I will offer you a safe space where you can freely share your honest thoughts and fears without judgement. My goal is for you to feel more connected to yourself and those around you, improve your relationships and be more present in everyday life.
