My clients tend to be people who march to the beat of their own drum. They know what it’s like to feel misunderstood, and some might go as far as to consider themselves “black sheep” or even outcasts. My approach to counseling involves embracing your unique identity and letting go of expectations others may have put onto you. Whether you are working through depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, or uncertainty, I want to help you become your most authentic self.
Much of my therapeutic approach involves emotional flexibility and resilience. ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) addresses the rigid thoughts and behaviors which can limit us. EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) frees us from both big and little trauma, removing triggers that cause us and others to constantly walk on egg shells.
The decision to start therapy can be a hard one. Feeling anxious about it is normal! You have nothing to lose by reaching out and learning more. I work flexible hours to meet your needs. Although I do not accept insurance at this time, my fees are quite discounted. Please email me with any questions you might have. I look forward to helping you!
