Dear Reader, depression, anxiety and trauma are my primary areas of work. I utilize a unique combination of modalities to address the cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and physical components of wellness. My work combines CBT, EMDR, Polyvagal Therapy with mindfulness and other cognitive-based approaches to help my clients move through their traumas and grow into the people they want to be. My clients come to me from all walks of life with a common goal: to reclaim their lives from the wounds of their past and to establish a new relationship with their personal story.
What You Can Expect: The first time we meet involves an hour long question/answer session in which we go through some of the reasons you are coming in for treatment and what you have already attempted to do in the past to improve your current situation. From there we discuss various aspects of your personal, family and medical history that may be relevant.
We wrap up the first session by outlining specific goals you hope to accomplish and establish a general timeline for the duration of treatment and what that might look like. The goal of therapy is to not need it. The direction of treatment always involves resuming your sense of feeling whole, stable and a return to normal daily functioning without therapy.
