Creating a safe, warm, active and collaborative therapeutic environment is core to my treatment approach that focuses on helping clients explore their experiences, perspectives, and personal identities, as well as develop insight, find healing, improve relationships, and experience personal growth and empowerment. I respect and value the diversity of each client, focus on their unique social and cultural context, and believe each therapeutic relationship takes a different path depending on these factors. My interests include anxiety & depression, relationship challenges, healing from trauma & significant stress, identity development & sexual orientation, mindful living, and cultivating self-compassion. I draw from various theoretical perspectives, including relational, developmental-contextual, and psychodynamic. I also incorporate mindfulness and cognitive techniques into treatment based on individual needs of each client.
