My clinical work emphasizes the whole person by integrating the neurobiological, psychological, physical, social and spiritual aspects of life. My practice focuses on helping clients achieve a more centered, balanced life by giving them the tools needed to grow within life's challenges. I work with adults struggling with everyday life difficulties in relationships, depression, anxiety, unresolved issues from the past, trauma, loss and grief; couples who are working to improve their relationship skills in areas of communication, anger management, trust and intimacy; families challenged by the transitions, losses and letting goes unique to each family's life cycle.
My mission is to create a nurturing environment utilizing traditional therapies with mindfulness-based practices. The best outcomes from therapy come when clients recognize the deep truth of their lives, understanding the power they have within themselves. Together, I help them come to a place of awareness, acceptance and healing.
I have a background in Oncology Nursing. The mind-body connection influences my work. I have been counseling for over twenty years. I have eight children and thirteen grandchildren. My passion is to connect with my clients helping them develop new skills to not only survive but thrive as individuals and within their relational lives.
