As an Episcopal priest with a Doctor of Ministry degree in pastoral counseling, I have been in practice since 1985. I am a clinical Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, extensively trained and experienced in individual depth psychotherapy and in working with couples, families and groups. My particular gift is in establishing a a therapeutic space where individual men and women, as well as adolescents and young adults, who are in pain or under stress, can feel safe and understood. My name is Dr. Lockett, I am a clinical therapist and also a non-profit organization( MIND Family & Social Services, Inc). We provide counseling and community intervention to adults and children. Our focus is on diffusing the current crisis/situation, evaluate its nature to reduce the likelihood of the re-occurrence. Our aim is to ensure clinical appropriateness of services provided, improve client's ability to care for self and family and ensure linkage to community resources.

I help couples work through marital conflicts and help them achieve a relationship based on trust, security, mutual empathy and deeper levels of connection. I also work with individuals struggling with histories of trauma such as sexual, physical or emotional abuse. In addition, I help men who struggle with compulsive sexual behaviors, anxieties, depression, and/or obsessive thoughts. I encourage clients to explore their past in order to identify patterns that are affecting their current relationships and personal goals.
