Healing is a relational process in which therapist and client begin a journey of discovering the self through the therapist's creation of a place the client feels felt, seen, safe, understood, soothed, and secure. A womb is created in the room of therapy. This is a recreation of the mother-infant bonding and positive attachment that was lacking or inadequate.
