My ideal clients are adult victims of the repercussions of childhood trauma, war veterans, work stress issues, end of life, relational problems. I work especially well with men in retirement and those caught in the fight/ flight/ freeze response that shuts down their limbic system resulting in physical illness, anger/ dispare, dysfunctional memories, insomnia, dissociation and gross negative thinking. I focus particularly on working with men of all ages. Those who get caught in male stereotypes hide their pain and hurt resulting in loneliness, addiction especially men experiencing allenation from families, work in later life.
In my practice I bring mind body humanistic approach to healing emotional trauma and pain. I find that Self Relational Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness are excellent methods for integrating the mind body split and overcoming trauma. We can "transend and include " our pain through a skillfully sponsored human presence.
I work with individuals, couples and groups. Was first licienced in 1982. I work with people to embody a unitifed way to receive life's challenges creatively with self other compassion and deeper understanding. A core principle that "the problem is the solution" the key thou is "under proper conditions".
