My services extends to providing In-home early intervention counseling to at-risk families with histories of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, school truancy , anger management, substance abuse , depression , grief and loss, adjustment and conduct disorders, oppositional defiant behaviors and high risk individuals for suicidal behaviors .

Knowledge of self is the core of complete education. My role of facilitator is to recognize and identify your "gifts" (interests, talents, motivations etc.) so that you can apply your knowledge of self on your life journey. I am culturally sensitive and have worked with diverse populations across various ages, cultural groups and orientations. I have utilized psychotherapy for 10+ years as a means to reduce/eliminate numerous disorders (such as Depression, Anxiety, etc.). With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. She is fairly eclectic in her approach to treatment. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. She employs aspects of behavioral, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, play, client-centered and psychodynamic therapy.

Johnetta Barnes is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia and a National Certified Counselor. She has experience in supervising and providing training for other counselors within the field. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Saint Leo University and received her Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University. She has over a decade of experience in working with adults, children, families and couples. She has extensive experience in working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment and mood disorders.
