Hello. My name is Deon Whiteside. I am a Licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Oklahoma. I work with adult clients statewide via telehealth who are dealing with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relationship issues. I am committed to supporting my clients through their challenges and helping them improve their emotional well-being and find joy and purpose in their lives.
My approach to therapy is eclectic primarily supportive and client centered, drawing from cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and positive psychology modalities. I find that the client centered approach helps the client and therapist develop an understanding of the client’s concerns and move forward together in partnership to address them.
What attracted me to pursue a career as a therapist is I love helping individuals, couples, and families reach their goals. When I see my patience functioning at a higher level than before it brings a smile to my face and lets me know that I am doing a job well done.
