Hi, I’m Denise. As a counselor, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people through many areas of life. I bring 30+ years of experience working in community mental health and overseeing mental health and trauma support groups at my local church. I worked with adults who thought their significant symptoms would keep their goals of working from becoming a reality. Instead, encouragement, support and goal setting
allowed for positive change. I had the joy of seeing individuals get thawed out after a period of feeling frozen. What an honor it's been to witness growth in so many lives!
I am trained in CBT and will approach our time together from a strengths-based, solution-focused and culturally sensitive perspective. If requested, we can also include prayer and Scripture into sessions. I believe therapy provides space to learn and practice skills which help restore balance and increase resiliency in a life.
