Soren Kierkegaard once wrote, “Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards”. In many ways this is the essence of the work I engage in with those who are seeking to make sense of their lives and circumstances and begin to examine the inner wounds that have kept them feeling stuck and frustrated. I believe that every person has many complex parts that work together to produce unique insights into how they can journey forward, they need only be given the tools and support to explore them.
Many years in various positions in social/community based positions have allowed me the honor of working with adolescents and adults of all ages as they have navigated through some of the most challenging and vulnerable times of their lives. Aside from traditional methods, I offer creative and outside the box ways of delivering evidence based therapies.
Art and music are areas of personal interest that I enjoy implementing therapeutically as well as other expressive outlets. Everyone longs to have their story heard with compassion, understanding, and encouragement. I believe there is always hope for healing and consider it a pleasure to offer space for all to share openly without fear of judgement.
