You are not a problem to be solved. I believe we are each evolutionarily designed for growth and change. In the right container and supportive environment, you have the potential to understand yourself better than anyone else, to access your own insight, and to know what will help. My role as a therapist is to be a fellow traveler in the room as you navigate the session. I can point out moments of interest, places of frozenness, and potentially useful signs, and support your own innate creativity in meeting the story of your life.
My primary orientation is toward depth psychology, which takes into account the effects of nature, dreams, imagination, spirituality and the subtle and unconscious aspects of human experience. However, I also bring very practical and grounded elements into my work with clients. Sourcing both together is highly beneficial.
I have been a yoga teacher, movement educator, and meditator for over 25 years. I am in my 60's and have seen a lot: it's hard to shock me! I have a special interest in sex therapy, and in helping couples clarify and communicate their desires.
