My name is Denenea Conner. I’m a Licensed Clinical Therapist with over 18 years of working in Behavioral Health with diverse populations. My approach to therapy is personal-centered approach, empathic, and compassionate. I have worked with adults to address anxiety, depression, codependency, life transitions, stress, relationships, and substance use issues. My therapeutic approach will depend upon the needs of each individual client. However, I most frequently utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy with Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral therapy techniques.
I provide therapy to adults who have experienced challenges with their self-esteem, stress, grief & loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and substance abuse. My communication style is open, curious, and engaging. My approach is not only to hear but to listen to what it is that you are communicating.
At a young age, I became aware of the pain and struggles of those in my life. I was clueless about how to go about helping those in pain. My journey to becoming a therapist was not a direct one. I stumbled upon social work after my initial studies was less than appealing to me.
