I am feel very optimistic that people are able to change and create meaningful lives. I help my clients reach these goals. Voicing feelings and receiving support in a confidential, non-judgmental setting is essential. With me, my clients become more self-aware of emotional triggers, learn how their past affects their present, and is able to make positive changes. I help them cope with anxiety and depression, I work extensively with couples, resolve insomnia and sleep disorders and help athletes achieve peak sport performance. I also help clients experiencing loss, grief and bereavement.
I rely on current, state of the art techniques to help my clients. Clients say my commitment, engagement and honesty help them feel comfortable and open up. Together, we figure out how perceptions and feelings can keep them stuck, how to alter their relationships or habits, adjust to life transitions, chronic illness, and more.
I have been in practice over 25 years, serving on staff at Harvard University Medical School and McLean Hospital. I have advanced training in marriage/couples therapy, insomnia and sleep disorders, maximizing athletes' sports performance, and geriatric psychology. I sometimes use hypnotherapy for such problems as clenching teeth, test-taking and optimizing memory.
