If you have had trouble communicating with your therapist/others or with traditional talk therapy approaches, you have come to the right place. My name is Dena Ewing and I specialize in experience based therapies to resolve emotional pain and suffering. Many people I treat have often tried different therapies in the past with limited success. My approach to resolving long standing anxiety, trauma and/or depression is by taking a "bottom up" approach, meaning we work with gently connecting to the body first to let it inform the next steps in healing.
Advances in trauma treatment and nervous system regulation have made great strides in recent years and I actively research various methods to help resolve them. Previous trainings include but are not limited to EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, DBT, nutrition for mental health as well as yoga and energy psychotherapy practices.
