Many of the individuals I work with struggle with issues surrounding self-esteem, people pleasing, and caretaking behaviors. Often times, these issues lead to feelings or symptoms of depression or anxiety. It is hard to live our crazy busy lives day in and day out while handling the heaviness of our feelings and caretaking the feelings of those around us. Where I see these issues arise is in relationships that thrive in codependency, such as caring for a loved one who has an addiction, parenting and postpartum, and in being the primary or default caretaker for others.
I provide counseling via telehealth only utilizing a secure HIPPA compliant portal for video & phone sessions. What I strive to do in the therapeutic relationship, is help you to make sense of how you are feeling, work through setting appropriate boundaries, communication skills, and most importantly, taking care of yourself…first!
My approach is one that is supportive and validating. It is important to me that my clients feel heard and understood at all times. I provide a therapeutic environment that is safe and non-judgmental that allows you the opportunity to be completely unfiltered and yourself at all times.
