I believe that one of the bravest things you can do is to begin to understand your own story. From this understanding and processing your unique story, you can let go of traumas that control you, anxiety and depression road blocks, bad relationships, and overall the emotional pain that may prevent you from living a happy and fulfilling life that gets you excited to wake up to everyday. I want you to be free of that pain so that you can find meaning, excitement, and purpose in work, friendships, relationships, family, and really ALL areas of your life. So what is it like working with me? Therapy should not be a one-sided conversation and I'm definitely not a smile-and-nod therapist. I want to work collaboratively WITH you and I can promise that I am as real as it gets. You may hear me swear (haha), laugh hard with you, and just be my authentic self. This online affirming/supportive teletherapy group is for LGBTQIA+ identified individuals (18+) to discuss concerns and difficulties they are experiencing around their identities. Some common topics include coming out, sociopolitical climate and effects being a marginalized population, relationships with others, exploring sex and related issues, developing identities, gender identity concerns and development, and overall is a safe and supportive environment where members can build a sense of community that is validating and safe to discuss any concerns.
