My name is Delia Acosta, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 24 yrs of experience supporting children, families, and adults. I provide a client-centered, strength-based approach grounded in empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and understood as they explore life’s challenges. Much of my professional experience has been working with youth and families within school system.
My approach to therapy is integrative and collaborative, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also incorporate mindfulness-based strategies to support emotional regulation and self-awareness.
