I strive to be authentic and human in session by building a strong relationship with client. I have worked with neurodivergent individuals for 5+ years and in that time I have learned that not one size fits all, which is why I use play therapy techniques, sandtray therapy techniques, and other hands on methods. I use psycho-education to inform the client and help them build accommodations that best fit them and their needs. I work from a systemic perspective to help couples and families grow to understand each other through more than just words. I enjoy helping clients become their most authentic selves.
I focus on experiential work, because sometimes your body and mind are trying to communicate but struggle to understand each other. I focus on the whole sensory process because sometimes thats the body's way of communicating and I want to help you learn to understand it. This can include EMDR and Sandtray therapy.
Since I come from a mixed race background I realized the need for a therapist who can represent diversity in mental health. I want to work to fill the gap and build a stronger understanding of mental health for those within these communities.
