Parents, what is you relationship with your children/teen like? Is it stressful? Parenting stress is something we don't often talk about. We might feel guilty for not always enjoying every aspect of parenting. I work with families who might be struggling with family stressors. Parents seek me out to help their child or teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, behavioral changes. My approach is different than other child therapist because I involve the parents in every step of the process and encourage them to be the parents that they want to be. It is hard to see your child suffer. I'm here to help.
I am a Latina, trauma therapist who specializes in working children, teens and adults who have experienced trauma and are ready to start their healing process. I work with adults who've experienced childhood attachment wounds. I work through a trauma informed lens. By providing a safe environment to help settle our nervous system, we can begin this process
It is ok to seek support. There is no manual to tell us how to parent or how to do life. We fail many times. I've met with caregivers who are desperate to help their children or they themselves are also struggling with life stressors. I believe that it takes a village! I am here to provide that support with empathic listening and unconditional regard.
