As a psychoanalyst I believe that an individual's feelings and behaviors are motivated by a variety of unconscious factors often resulting in people feeling stuck. Psychoanalysis helps individuals finally break these habits by understanding their root causes and enable significant changes at the very core of one's emotional responses. Using these experiences, the analyst helps the patient work on a deeply unconscious level to eliminate unproductive and destructive patterns. This opens the patient to new, fresh and genuine experiences and solutions in their lives. This process is achievable through empathy and respect.
I have more than 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescent and adults. As a Psychoanalyst I have received the highest level of training in my field. My expertise ranges from treating adult and children to assessing neuropsychological disorders and serving as an expert in the Family Court and civil litigation matters.
I have worked with patients, of all ages, for more than 15 years. Play therapy is an important component of the specialized child psychoanalytic training process that enables me to develop a relationship with the child. Through play the child (often non-verbally) can demonstrate recurring issues in a way that is non-threatening to the child.
