Hello, my name is Deidre.
I work with individuals and couples experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, grief and loss, substance use, and relationship challenges. Common concerns include racing thoughts, difficulty concentrating, low motivation, decreased interest in activities, intrusive thoughts or memories related to trauma, and ongoing relationship distress.
I have over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, providing therapeutic support across a range of clinical presentations.
The first session is an opportunity to establish rapport, review your concerns, and begin the assessment process. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your relevant personal and mental health history, and your current symptoms. I will also review confidentiality and informed consent and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
Together, we will identify initial treatment goals and discuss potential approaches that may be helpful moving forward. The session is structured but collaborative, and there is no expectation to share more than you are comfortable with.
