I work with individuals and couples in both short and long term therapy. I have extensive training in IFS, EMDR, CBT, and Relational Psychodynamic Therapy. My objective is to work with you using the appropriate approach that best fits your goals for therapy. I have a wide range of experience working with the effects of addiction on families, substance abuse, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. I also have considerable training in sleep disorders and enjoy working with clients to adjust their sleep schedules, thereby improving their daily mood and functioning.
We work together on your goals to establish effective tools that you can use on your own. I help clients notice their emotions, patterns of behaviors, triggers, underlying worries, and trauma using IFS, EMDR and CBT. Once we process traumatic memories, you are able to respond to situations with compassion instead of intense emotional reactions.
I have also led DBT and CBT therapy groups. I use these skills to assist my clients in overcoming concrete problems in their lives. I have a broad range of experience working with people of all different ethnicities, sexual identities, and socio-economic groups. All are welcome in my practice.
