A good therapy experience can be transformative: it has the power to change one’s patterns of relating, help mend psychic wounds, and discover new ways of being. Transformation like this does not take place overnight. It takes patience and it only happens in the presence of a strong therapeutic relationship. From the very start, one of my main goals is to build that relationship by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space in which you can express thoughts, feelings, dreams, and desires that you may feel unable to share elsewhere. We'll collaborate to gain insight into the roots of your struggles, only then can we find our path forward.
I have experience and interest in working with adults and teens with anxiety, trauma histories, addictions, as well as creative people, those who have been described as sensitive, and LGBTQ+ folk. I take an affirmative stance toward those who are clear about their identities, and enjoy helping those who are in the midst of exploration.
I've been in practice for more than ten years. I have received training in psychodynamic, mindfulness based, and existentially oriented psychotherapy. I am also informed by attachment, developmental and systems theories.
